Calendars, meetings, Python talks
At long last I have revived my weekend project to create iCal calendars for televisions shows. The process used to depend on Zap2it's free xmltv service, which was unfortunately shut down. I have found an alternative in zap2xml, and you can read more about it by looking at my available calendars or reading about how I make them.
I've gone a bit calendar crazy lately, and have some more calendars listed than just the ones I make for TV shows. Also, I am looking for a good Plone calendaring solution, and am unfortunately not coming up with much. Integration with Google calendars doesn't sound bad though...
The Appalachian Linux Users Group (ALUG) calendar includes the (currently tentative) dates for my talks on Python. We have decided to make a series out of Python because (1) it rocks, (2) I'm willing, and (3) the first talk was a success. Since the initial 'getting started' presentation I've written LAD, picked up Panda3D, and it's likely that I'll be getting more in depth with Sage shortly.
